Relationships are often difficult and complicated, requiring sensitivity, tolerance and flexibility in order to survive. For some, there is a tendency to repeatedly engage in problematic patterns of relating. Although when a new relationship begins things seem exciting and perfect, sadly the same cracks start to appear, meaning that old behaviours and dynamics soon come to the fore.
Psychotherapy can enable us to examine our part in these problems, and to make sense of which aspects of our past seem to be repeating in the present. Over time, this can enable us to change our perspective, leading to a more appropriate choice of partner or a better insight into our current relationships.
